Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting K-6 students as a School Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026/2027 academic year. This rewarding contract opportunity focuses on helping children develop essential communication skills in an engaging educational setting. Based near scenic Polson, MT, this role offers a unique schedule: provide services one day a week, working with a manageable caseload of 15 students. Enjoy a Monday through Thursday school week, giving you a balanced work-life experience.
Key Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Clinical experience in a school-based environment working with K-6 populations Strong collaboration skills for partnering with educators, specialists, and families Ability to travel between sites, including working half a day at a nearby elementary school approximately 40 miles away Effective communication and organizational abilities Passion for fostering students' communication and language development
Position Details:
Contract runs from August 31 through June 3 for the entire school year Serve a caseload of 15 students across K-6th grade, providing assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring Split your time: work primarily at the main school with half a day weekly at Valley View Elementary Case management and IEP documentation tailored to each student's needs Consult and collaborate with general and special education staff Engage parents and guardians in students' growth plans to ensure consistent support
