Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - SLP Job Type Contract Provide expert speech-language pathology services in both outpatient and acute care settings, with a primary focus on outpatient treatment. This role requires proficiency in videofluoroscopic swallow studies (VFSS) and flexibility to manage a caseload that includes pediatric and adult patients. A valid North Carolina license is mandatory.

Schedule and Work Details:
40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM On-call every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM) for NPO orders only Guaranteed work week of 36 hours, with most weeks requiring 40 hours
Key Responsibilities:
Manage outpatient caseload with approximately 70% pediatric and 30% adult patients Provide comprehensive acute care services for adult patients, including VFSS evaluations Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement effective therapy plans Adhere to clinical protocols and document patient progress accurately
Desired Qualifications:
Current, valid North Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license Experience in outpatient and acute hospital settings Proficiency in performing VFSS and managing dysphagia cases Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call weekends Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
Additional Information:
Position is a 13-week contract Local clinicians within an 80-mile radius will be screened prior to submission Navy scrubs required for this role This opportunity offers a diverse clinical experience with a primarily outpatient pediatric caseload, alongside adult acute care responsibilities.
