Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students across multiple educational settings in the Burnsville, NC area. This full-time position calls for two Speech-Language Pathologists to provide direct therapy services for a diverse caseload of 40-50 students, spanning PreK through 12th grade. With a broad reach across six school sites and 3-4 private locations, this role offers variety, professional challenge, and the chance to make a tangible impact.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active ASHA CCCs or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Pediatric experience, especially in educational or healthcare-related settings Familiarity working within school-based SLP programs and with diverse student populations Strong skills in both individualized and group therapy Experience or confidence managing caseloads without SLPA support Comfort providing onsite services across multiple locations Proficient in documentation, IEP development, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Teletherapy experience is a plus
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive speech and language services to a caseload of 40-50 students Serve students in PreK-12th grade, adapting interventions to varying needs and settings Travel to assigned school sites and private locations within the region Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and contribute to IEPs Maintain accurate records and progress notes for compliance and reporting Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers Work independently—no SLPA or paraprofessional support is provided This onsite, school-year contract provides stable, full-time hours (37.5/week) with a competitive compensation rate of $40-47 per hour.
