Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference supporting students' communication development as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) in a dynamic contract position near Clayton, NC. This on-site, part-time opportunity offers up to 20 hours per week for the upcoming academic year, beginning July 1, 2026, and concluding June 30, 2027. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators and directly impact student success in a supportive school environment.
Key Qualifications:
Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) credential; Clinical Fellow Year applicants (CFYs) not eligible Active North Carolina professional license and educator certificate required At least one year of prior school-based SLP experience Must obtain NPI number and complete NC Tracks registration prior to the start date Willingness to complete DCDEE fingerprinting for background clearance Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, and commitment to student outcomes
Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy to students as assigned (caseload and age groups TBD) Complete student evaluations and progress reports Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on individualized education plans (IEPs) Develop and implement effective interventions and evidence-based therapy Maintain up-to-date documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
