TMSA Public Charter Schools, a thriving public charter school in North Carolina, is currently seeking a dedicated, experienced, and passionate Speech Pathologist to join our exceptional team of educators. We are committed to providing a supportive, inclusive, and innovative educational environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional development of every student. As a Speech Pathologist at TMSA Public Charter Schools, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. You will collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program. Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of North Carolina. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to upholding the mission and values of TMSA Public Charter Schools.Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized assessments, observational data, and parent/teacher input. Develop and implement IEPs that include measurable goals and objectives to address students' communication needs. Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in individual and small group settings. Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other support staff to integrate speech and language therapy into the classroom. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed. Educate parents, teachers, and other staff members about speech and language development and strategies to support student growth. Attend IEP meetings and provide professional input as needed. Maintain required documentation and records in compliance with state and federal regulations. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.Position Type:
