Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-27 school year, making a genuine difference as a Speech-Language Pathologist across vibrant communities near Havelock, NC—with accessible placements in PreK, elementary, and middle/high school settings. Applicants with SLP-CCC credentials and Clinical Fellows (CFY) are both encouraged to apply. This is a full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week position, and you'll serve a caseload of approximately 50-55 students spread across a range of age groups and school environments. Your expertise will support students in Vanceboro, New Bern, Havelock, and neighboring areas, bringing vital services to a diverse regional student population. Interviews are being scheduled now for enthusiastic SLPs eager to grow professionally and positively impact young lives.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active SLP-CCC or eligible CFY status required Experience providing therapy in PreK, elementary, and/or secondary school settings Skilled in pediatric speech-language evaluation and intervention Ability to adapt services for both in-person and teletherapy models Strong collaboration skills for working with special education staff, families, and administrators Familiarity with varied caseloads and developmentally appropriate therapeutic approaches
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough speech, language, and voice assessments Design and implement individualized treatment plans Collaborate on IEP development with multidisciplinary teams Deliver therapy services in person and via teletherapy, as needed Monitor progress, document sessions, and communicate outcomes to families and staff Participate in professional development and school-based meetings Enjoy the
