As a contract Speech-Language Pathologist working near Kannapolis, you'll collaborate closely with educators and resource teams to support students across a diverse range of speech and language needs. This opportunity covers full-time hours for the upcoming academic year, offering a chance for meaningful professional growth while serving a vibrant school community.
What We're Seeking:
Hold an active Speech-Language Pathologist license in North Carolina (NC SLP) Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) is required Experience within educational or school-based settings is essential Proficiency with ECATS (Education Casework Application and Tracking System) Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills Ability to adapt interventions for diverse student populations Current experience and knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language assessments, therapy, and interventions to students Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) development Maintain timely, thorough, and confidential documentation in compliance with all school, state, and federal guidelines Consult with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student progress Utilize digital systems for case management and communication Ensure services are provided with cultural competence and sensitivity Attend scheduled meetings and collaborate proactively with school and district personnel Enjoy the satisfaction of making a tangible difference over the course of the academic year, working within a supportive school community.
