Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing essential speech and language support in a dynamic, school-based environment near Lexington, NC. This contract opportunity is designed for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist seeking a full-time, on-site role for the 2026-2027 academic year. You'll collaborate with educational teams, serve diverse student populations, and utilize your expertise to impact communication skills in an inclusive setting.
Key Qualifications:
Active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology License required (must be verified) Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology North Carolina DPI SLP License must be current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) highly preferred Recent experience with ECATS and familiarity with Infinite Campus Prior experience working in K-12 schools preferred SLPAs are not being considered for this placement Commitment to on-site services—this is not a remote or teletherapy position
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver targeted speech/language interventions Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with school and state requirements Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student progress Maintain meticulous records using ECATS and other required systems Participate in meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and professional development sessions This school-based role begins August 17, 2026 and continues through June 4, 2027, following a full-time, school-year schedule.
