Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Looking for a rewarding school-based opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist? This full-time contract position runs from August 2026 through June 2027, offering the chance to support students in a dynamic educational setting near Matthews, NC. The role will be housed in a school yet to be determined, ensuring each day brings fresh opportunities to make a difference.
Desired Qualifications:
Active North Carolina SLP license required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred School-based SLP experience strongly desired Familiarity with ECATS (Exceptional Children Accountability Tracking System) Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills Ability to engage students and work alongside educators and families
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy to K-12 students, addressing a range of communication needs Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Maintain accurate records and progress documentation in ECATS Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and special education staff Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences Provide support and resources for classroom teachers regarding student communication strategies Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations relating to speech pathology services
