Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting students' communication development for the 2026-27 school year! As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a contract position, you'll work 37.5 hours per week, providing essential services to a diverse caseload of 50-55 students across multiple school settings, including PreK, elementary, and middle/high schools within vibrant North Carolina communities such as Vanceboro, New Bern, and Havelock, as well as nearby areas like James City, Newport, and Emerald Isle. Ideal candidates are dedicated to fostering student growth and excited to bring their SLP expertise to the schools. Whether you hold your Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or are a Clinical Fellow (CFY), your skills will be valued in delivering direct and teletherapy services.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid North Carolina license as a Speech-Language Pathologist SLP-CCC or eligibility as an SLP-CFY Prior experience in school-based settings or pediatric therapy strongly preferred Knowledgeable in teletherapy service delivery Comfortable managing a caseload of 50-55 students Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Energetic, collaborative, and compassionate approach
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students PreK through high school Provide direct therapy services, including both in-person and teletherapy sessions Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to support student outcomes Maintain accurate documentation for IEP and progress reports
