Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Experience the rewarding impact of supporting students' communication growth while collaborating with diverse school teams. This contract-based opportunity offers full-time Speech-Language Pathology positions working 37.5 hours per week during the 2026-27 school year. Whether you're an SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow (CFY), your expertise will bring meaningful change to PreK, elementary, middle, and high school students across a variety of settings near the eastern North Carolina coast. As part of this role, you'll serve caseloads ranging from 50-55 students at one PreK and two elementary as well as middle/high schools. Settings include in-person placements and teletherapy options, supporting learners and working collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families in the Vanceboro, New Bern, and Havelock regions. You'll also have the chance to make an impact in surrounding communities, including James City, Newport, Merrimon, Emerald Isle, and Cedar Island.
Qualifications and experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences Disorders Valid state licensure or eligibility for North Carolina SLP licensure Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Experience with pediatric or school-based caseloads preferred Teletherapy interest or background is a plus Strong communication, organization, and teamwork abilities Key responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with communication and language disorders Deliver direct therapy, both individually and in group settings Monitor progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings Collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams Adapt therapy methods to diverse learning needs, including remote platforms Step into a supportive, engaging work environment where your skills help students communicate confidently and thrive academically.
