Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting elementary and middle school students in Statesville, NC for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position offers a full-time schedule from August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027 (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-3:30 pm, 37.5 hours per week). As a specialist dedicated to student communication needs, you'll work exclusively onsite within a collaborative school environment.
Desired qualifications:
Valid and active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology license (required) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Experience supporting school-aged children, particularly elementary and middle school populations Familiarity with school-based assessment and intervention practices Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and communication with students, families, and staff Ability to organize and manage a school caseload efficiently Commitment to supporting diverse learners and advocating for inclusive education Key responsibilities: Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and deliver speech-language therapy to assigned students Maintain timely session documentation and progress reports in accordance with school guidelines Collaborate with educational teams to support student success and generalize skills across settings Engage with families and caregivers, providing updates on progress and strategies for continued growth Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as needed This assignment offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the school community and enhance your skills as an educational speech-language pathologist.
