Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - SLP Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist specializing in both outpatient and acute care settings within a healthcare environment. This role primarily focuses on outpatient therapy, serving a pediatric population (70%) and adult patients (30%), with acute care responsibilities centered mostly on adult cases requiring proficiency in Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Study (VFSS). The position offers a 13-week contract with a structured schedule designed to support consistent patient care.

Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality speech language pathology evaluations and treatments in outpatient and acute care settings Manage a predominantly pediatric outpatient caseload alongside adult patients in acute care Perform and interpret Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Studies (VFSS) to assess and manage dysphagia in adult patients Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans Participate in on-call rotations every third weekend to manage NPO orders in acute care
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid North Carolina Speech Language Pathology license is required Strong expertise in outpatient pediatric therapy cases and adult acute care practices Proficiency with VFSS techniques and dysphagia management Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication within a healthcare team
Schedule:
40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM On-call every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM) for acute care NPO orders
Additional Details:
