Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Are you a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist ready for a dynamic contract role serving students in North Carolina? Make an impact by supporting learners in a school-based setting, providing essential speech and language services while working alongside passionate professionals. This full-time opportunity begins in August and continues through June, offering a structured schedule of 35-37.5 hours per week. The district will consider both experienced SLP-CCC and SLP Clinical Fellows (CF), with district supervision available to support your professional development.
Key Qualifications:
Active North Carolina SLP license required Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, or eligibility as SLP-CF School-based SLP experience or strong clinical background Skills or background with Autism Spectrum Disorder (AU) and low cognitive disabilities preferred Commitment to serving a caseload of up to 35 students Flexibility to work in the East or Southern region of the district SLPA candidates are not being considered at this time
Position Details & Responsibilities:
Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy to students with a variety of communication and language challenges Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers to support student progress Engage in regular documentation and progress reporting Adapt therapy methods to suit diverse student needs and communicate strategies clearly to stakeholders Manage a caseload determined in collaboration with district leadership
