Are you looking to make a difference? Do you enjoy a challenge? If you are an energetic person with the desire to impact the lives of young people, this is the job for you! We are looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team! This position is working in our Easterseals Gammon Academy, which is a certified special education school for youth ages 5-21 that have educational disabilities. Student populations range from students with autism and other neurobehavioral challenges to students with mild cognitive impairments and students with social/emotional disabilities. Our school focuses on academic fundamentals as well as the use of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to help students develop behavioral and social skills. This skill-building occurs in a structured setting, supporting and reinforcing the students' developing self-confidence and self-esteem. The individual in this key position be working to provide services to youth with neurological and or emotional psychological disabilities in a Special Education classroom environment. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will evaluate communication skills, develop a comprehensive plan, and provide therapies. You will instruct and counsel students and school staff attend IEP meetings and department meetings.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree or its equivalent in the field of Speech Pathology Current state license in Speech Language Pathology Experience working with youth with disabilities Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and speech generating devices is a plus! A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Hours:
Full-Time, Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00
PM Compensation:
$94,000 annually What's in it for you?
