Full-time contract opportunities are available for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists starting in Fall 2026. Assignments run for 12 weeks beginning in September, with each SLP working more than 35 hours weekly in engaging elementary school environments.

Three positions are open:

two at the elementary level working with diverse student populations—including those with Autism and preschoolers (K-5th grades) at locations in Sewaren and Iselin. One additional position will be assigned based on district needs. All roles are onsite only and require compassion, flexibility, and expertise to deliver high-quality speech-language services.

Qualifications & Experience:

Active NJ Speech-Language Pathologist License and NJ SLS Certification required Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) may apply if able to secure outside supervision (district cannot provide supervision) Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly desirable Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for students on the Autism spectrum and early learners SLPAs are not eligible for these positions

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy to students Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication needs Track progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings as needed Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment to help every student reach their communication goals Take advantage of the potential to shape young lives during these essential maternity leave coverage periods.
