Open Until Filled Speech Language Pathologist - SLP We are seeking a dynamic educator to provide exemplary leadership to all members of our school community.Position Purpose:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team and support students' communication and language development in a public school setting. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders to enhance students' academic success and social participation.Essential Performance Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language evaluations for students referred through the IEP process. Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that address students' communication needs. Provide direct therapy services for speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication disorders. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate strategies into the classroom. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy goals as necessary. Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multi-disciplinary team discussions. Support students with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices when necessary. Ensure compliance with IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act), NJDOE regulations, and district policies.Skills & Competencies:
Expertise in speech and language assessment and intervention. Strong understanding of articulation, phonology, fluency, voice, language development, and social communication. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and students. Ability to document services and progress accurately and efficiently. Knowledge of assistive technology and augmentative communication methods. Strong organizational skills and time management.Certifications:
