Spetember 1, 2026 Position Overview Ho-Ho-Kus Public School is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our student support team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students in a K 8 setting, working collaboratively with educators, families, and specialists to foster student growth and achievement.

Director of Special Services Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each student's IEP goals. Provide direct therapy services in individual and small group settings. Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student communication needs. Participate in Child Study Team meetings, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary evaluations. Maintain accurate and timely records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with NJ state regulations. Consult with and train staff and families on communication strategies and best practices. Assist with the design of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) supports as needed. Contribute to a supportive, inclusive school environment for all learners. Qualifications & Requirements Certification through NJ DOE Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Experience working with school-age children, including students with diverse learning and communication needs. Knowledge of New Jersey special education law and IEP process. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Experience with AAC devices and assistive technology.
