Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type All Job Types Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting a Pre-K program during a maternity leave coverage. This role is located near Jersey City, NJ, and is ideal for professionals passionate about making a difference in early childhood education. You'll work 37.5 hours per week from now through June 25, helping young learners develop their communication skills at a pivotal point in their growth. Both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFY) are welcome, including those with a background in healthcare or pediatric settings.
Desired Background and Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid SLP license for New Jersey (or eligibility to obtain) CCC-SLP credential or CFY status Experience or training in school-based, pediatric, or healthcare SLP settings Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities Capacity to engage positively with Pre-K children, teachers, and families
Role Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy to Pre-K students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and track student progress Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to facilitate student success Document services and maintain records in compliance with school and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team Support students during their earliest years and help lay the foundation for lifelong learning and communication.
