Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type All Job Types Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to make a meaningful impact on children's lives through a school-based role situated near Jersey City, NJ. This position welcomes professionals across all experience levels, from Clinical Fellows to seasoned SLPs, and offers the flexibility of working on-site or via teletherapy. You'll have the unique opportunity to support students throughout the Extended School Year (ESY) and contribute to their communication growth in a collaborative educational environment.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active
ASHA CCC
(Certificate of Clinical Competence) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CFY) Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain appropriate credentials for school-based practice Experience with pediatric populations, especially within schools Strong skills in both direct and teletherapy service delivery Enthusiasm for supporting students during the
Extended School Year Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for students with a variety of speech and language needs Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), setting and tracking meaningful goals Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to foster a team-focused approach Maintain thorough and timely documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Offer engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions, both in-person and virtually, to meet the needs of diverse learners Actively participate in professional development and staff meetings throughout the ESY Imagine being part of a rewarding setting where your passion for pediatric speech therapy truly makes a difference—whether in the classroom or via telepractice.
