Job Description

Atlantic Health is searching for a qualified and fully licensed Speech Pathologist (CCC-SLP) for Atlantic Rehabilitation's Pompton Plains location. The Speech Pathologist will be responsible for providing a full range of Speech Pathology services, including assessment and treatment across the scope of practice, including dysphagia, speech, language, voice, and cognitive-linguistic skills, in an interdisciplinary environment. The Speech Pathologist in this position will demonstrate accountability for and contribute to program development, quality improvement, and problem-solving in a flexible and creative interdisciplinary fashion.
Additional responsibilities include:
Diagnoses speech, language, voice, cognitive-linguistic, and feeding and swallowing skills as relates to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors. Plans, directs, or conducts habilitative and rehabilitative treatment programs to address a range of issues across the scope of practice, including swallowing, speech, language, voice, fluency, and cognitive-linguistic skills. Develops and implements individualized, patient-centered plans to appropriately meet individual needs, interests, and abilities. Maintains records as required by law and Atlantic Health policy. Meets ongoing clinical education requirements as mandated by the state of NJ to ensure clinical skills remain relevant. Performs other related duties as assigned. Graduate of an accredited college/university in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) NJ State license to practice Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP) BLS is preferred.
