Our campers largely have social needs and are verbal. Join our summer program as a Speech Therapist/SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist) dedicated to empowering children through effective communication. In this role, you will deliver group and individual speech therapy services (30 minutes per session) to campers ages 3-18 in a fun, engaging camp environment. Your expertise will help children improve their speech, language, and social skills while fostering confidence and independence. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine clinical practice with a vibrant summer experience, making a meaningful difference in young lives. Harbor Haven runs from Monday, June 29 through Friday, August 14 (34 total days; no camp July 3). Training and room set up is the week of June 22. Schedule for individual campers is made by you in conjunction with Occupational Therapist to ensure campers are not "double" scheduled. Days/times can be somewhat flexible as long as all campers receive their therapy. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for children participating in the camp (5 groups per week for no more than 10 kids/group; individual sessions totaling around 9-12 hours per week) Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child's needs and use previously existing plans to continue support through summer services. Deliver engaging therapy sessions that incorporate play-based activities as age appropriate Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress notes in compliance with clinical standards Complete weekly group and individual reports to be sent home to caregivers NJ License required.
