Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling role as a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist, serving an elementary school caseload through a contract position for the 2026-2027 school year. Make a difference in students' lives as you work closely with educators, staff, and families to support communication and language development. Your ability to manage diverse needs in a dynamic environment will be highly valued. As part of this role, you will be asked to conduct thorough evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and effectively communicate findings and recommendations with school teams and parents. Your participation in IEP meetings and collaboration with faculty will ensure each child receives the best support possible.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Valid New Mexico SLP license New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) certification Experience with school-based therapy, preferably at the elementary level Strong communication, organization, and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language services to elementary-age students Attend and contribute to IEP meetings as required Collaborate with school staff, district personnel, and parents to support student progress Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations in alignment with school guidelines Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of services and outcomes This full-time contract opportunity offers you the chance to build strong relationships with students and have a meaningful impact on their educational journey.
