We partner with schools to place trained, supported SLPs directly on campus, bringing our evidence-based curriculum, supervision model, and professional development infrastructure into the heart of each school community. The Opportunity As a School-Based SLP with EmpatSpeech, you will deliver speech-language services directly to students on a school campus, using EmpatSpeech's curriculum, assessment frameworks, and clinical tools. This is a unique embedded role: you are part of the school community every day, yet your clinical home is EmpatSpeech. You'll benefit from robust onboarding, ongoing coaching, and a collaborative team of SLPs, while making a tangible, daily difference for students. What Makes This Role Distinct Unlike a district-employed SLP or an independent contractor, you will: Be employed, trained, and clinically supervised by EmpatSpeech Follow EmpatSpeech's curriculum, documentation standards, and service delivery models Serve students within a school setting alongside school staff, educators, and administrators Act as a professional bridge, representing EmpatSpeech's standards while building trust with school partners Participate in EmpatSpeech professional development, peer consultation, and quality reviews Key Responsibilities Clinical Service Delivery Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations using EmpatSpeech-approved assessment protocols Develop individualized treatment plans aligned to EmpatSpeech's curriculum framework and each student's IEP goals Deliver individual and small-group therapy sessions (in-person, on campus) with fidelity to EmpatSpeech's evidence-based approaches Implement culturally and linguistically responsive practices for diverse student populations Collect and analyze session data to monitor progress and adjust treatment accordingly School Community Integration Build and maintain collaborative, professional relationships with teachers, special education coordinators, school psychologists, administrators, and families Participate in IEP meetings, student support team meetings, and school-based collaboration as a representative of EmpatSpeech Communicate effectively with school staff about student progress while maintaining FERPA compliance and EmpatSpeech confidentiality standards Navigate situations where school expectations and EmpatSpeech clinical standards may differ - escalating to EmpatSpeech supervision when needed Serve as a visible, trusted presence in the school building Documentation & Compliance Complete all clinical documentation in EmpatSpeech's designated system within required timelines Maintain compliance with IDEA, state special education regulations, and EmpatSpeech quality standards Ensure all services are documented in accordance with IEP mandates and EmpatSpeech record-keeping protocols Participate in EmpatSpeech data reviews, outcome reporting, and quality improvement processes Professional Development & Team Participation Attend all required EmpatSpeech training, onboarding modules, and continuing education sessions Engage in regular supervision with EmpatSpeech Clinical Supervisor Contribute to peer consultation, team calls, and EmpatSpeech community of practice Pursue ongoing professional development in alignment with ASHA and EmpatSpeech standards Required Qualifications Master's degree (MS or MA) in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or CCC in active pursuit Current, valid SLP licensure (NM, CA, TX, or MO strongly preferred) School-based or pediatric clinical experience (practicum or post-graduate) Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment Strong organizational and documentation skills Commitment to culturally responsive, equity-centered practice Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of school-based SLP experience post-graduation Experience working with diverse student populations, including ELL students Familiarity with IDEA, IEP
