Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract position in Reno, NV offers an opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work across a variety of educational levels, from Early Childhood through High School. The role involves supporting students in Pre-K, Elementary (Grades K-5), Middle School (Grades 6-8), and High School (Grades 9-12), providing vital speech and language services that enhance communication skills and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify student needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student goals. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress. Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with school and district policies. Provide support and intervention in both classroom and one-on-one settings. Participate in meetings such as IEP (Individualized Education Program) and progress reviews.Desired Qualifications:
Valid SLP certification/licensure applicable to working in school settings. Experience working with children across multiple grade levels, including Early Childhood through High School. Strong knowledge of speech and language development and related disorders. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to adapt therapy techniques to diverse student needs.
