Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist, serving a diverse group of K-12 students, with a primary focus on those in grades K-8. This contract opportunity runs from September 2, 2026, through June 25, 2027, offering a predictable Monday through Friday schedule from 7:40am to 3:05pm—perfect for those seeking a consistent work-life balance. You'll be working onsite near Cherry Valley, NY, supporting around 40 students, including a small cohort of high-schoolers.
Key Qualifications:
Active SLP licensure for New York State Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Experience working in school environments or with pediatric populations is highly valued Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with educators and families Ability to develop and adapt treatment plans for a range of communication disorders
Your Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy to K-12 students, with a primary K-8 caseload Conduct assessments and reevaluations for students with identified speech and language needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with teachers and families Track student progress and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success and growth This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on students' communication skills and academic journeys in a collaborative, supportive school environment.
