Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference this summer! This contract position is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about supporting students' communication and academic success across K-12. You'll work with a diverse caseload—including students with varied speech, language, and social-communication needs—during an Extended School Year (ESY) program. The assignment runs from July 6 through August 14, with weekday hours from 8:15 am to 2:15 pm, providing an excellent work-life balance.
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid SLP licensure relevant to New York CCC-SLP credential or eligible Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Excellent communication and collaboration skills Passion for empowering students with diverse backgrounds and abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to determine students' speech and language needs Develop and deliver individualized therapy sessions Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and other specialists to support student progress Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings Adapt therapeutic strategies for a range of developmental stages, from kindergarten through high school Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment This contract role aligns perfectly for those seeking meaningful work in a collaborative educational setting over the summer.
