Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in schools, located in Guilderland Center, NY. This role focuses on providing speech and language support to middle school students within a self-contained classroom setting. The position is ideal for professionals experienced in working with a diverse range of disorders and disabilities, delivering tailored therapy to meet individual student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in middle school students. Deliver therapy services in a self-contained classroom environment. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families. Utilize evidence-based strategies to support students with a variety of communication challenges. Maintain accurate records and progress reports. Engage in teletherapy sessions as needed to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC). Experience working with pediatric populations in school and healthcare settings. Proficient in teletherapy methods and technology. Ability to manage a caseload involving students with diverse disabilities and communication disorders. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. This contract position is covering a maternity leave, offering flexibility while making a meaningful impact on student communication development.
