Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a real impact supporting K-6 students' communication skills in a warm, welcoming school setting for the entire 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity offers consistent, in-person work for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist seeking to leave remote therapy behind and embrace direct clinical engagement. The position is structured for two days each week (14 hours total), allowing for focused, meaningful student sessions, while preserving your work-life balance. Candidates with both their CCCs and relevant school-based SLP experience will be prioritized. You'll address a range of speech and language needs, collaborating with teachers and other support professionals to help students thrive academically and socially. The school community is eager to move away from virtual therapy and return to in-person interventions, giving you the chance to make a visible difference every day.
Key Qualifications:
Valid SLP license with CCC credentials and current registration At least one year of experience in a school-based SLP role Strong knowledge of child language, speech sound, and fluency disorders Confidence managing therapy for elementary-aged students (K-6) Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with staff Proven ability to 'stick' for the school year, especially considering rural community support needs
Role Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for a variety of speech/language disorders Develop and implement individualized plans; document progress Collaborate with teachers and parents to support classroom carryover Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights Offer in-person interventions and contribute to a positive school environment This is an excellent opportunity for someone who's invested in long-term, hands-on service.
