In this vital role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations. Your expertise will help individuals of all ages—particularly children in early intervention and pediatric settings—reach their full communication potential. This paid position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working in a collaborative and supportive environment. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing difficulties using established evaluation techniques. Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, incorporating evidence-based therapy strategies. Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions focused on improving articulation, language comprehension, voice modulation, fluency, and social communication skills. Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure consistent and effective patient care. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy approaches as needed to optimize outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with healthcare regulations. Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices, physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and anatomy to enhance patient care quality. Experience Prior school experience working with children in educational or clinical settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience providing speech therapy services within pediatric populations or early intervention programs. Strong understanding of physiology related to speech production and swallowing functions. Proven ability to perform thorough patient assessments and utilize appropriate therapeutic techniques. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy relevant to speech-language pathology. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families. Passion for helping patients improve their communication abilities through compassionate care and innovative therapy methods.
