Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services within a middle school setting in Schenectady, NY. This contract role focuses on supporting students in a self-contained classroom environment, catering to a diverse population with a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to middle school students with diverse communication needs. Assess, develop, and implement treatment plans tailored to each student's unique requirements. Collaborate effectively with educators, healthcare professionals, and families to support student progress. Utilize teletherapy tools when necessary to enhance service delivery. Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with educational regulations. Provide coverage for a maternity leave, ensuring continuity of care for students in the self-contained classroom.Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), with CCC or relevant licensure. Experience working in school settings, particularly with pediatric and healthcare populations. Familiarity with managing a variety of speech and language disorders, especially in middle school-aged children. Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Experience with teletherapy platforms is highly desirable.Location:
