Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by providing speech-language services in a dynamic educational setting. This contract opportunity is perfect for a skilled SLP seeking to work with grades K-8, supporting communication and language development in a school-based environment near Hilliard, OH. Serve a diverse caseload of 18 students, with a total service requirement of 2,700 minutes per quarter and a manageable weekly commitment of up to 20 hours. This role runs from as soon as possible through the end of the school year (EOSY), offering a focused and rewarding assignment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Valid state licensure for SLP practice Experience working in pediatric or school-based settings, particularly with K-8 populations Strong understanding of IEP processes and best practices for working with children with communication needs Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other therapists
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for students with speech, language, and communication disorders Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and participate in IEP meetings as needed Deliver direct and consultative services within the allocated service minutes, tracking progress and maintaining accurate records Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals and generalization of skills in the classroom setting Provide guidance and support for teachers and parents on strategies that promote effective communication Ensure all services and documentation meet district, state, and federal guidelines Experience a fulfilling contract position with a supportive team and a caseload that allows for meaningful connections with each student.
