Key Responsibilities Hands-On Therapy:
Work hands-on with our preschoolers, helping them find their voice through creative, play-based therapy in a supportive environment.
Clinical Integrity:
Conduct thorough, high-quality assessments and evaluations. While we respect district and state timelines, we prioritize clinical integrity and clear, meaningful reports that truly help the team understand the child.
Caseload Management:
Manage a preschool caseload capped at 40 students (below the state limit), ensuring you have the time for high-quality, individualized intervention and meaningful student progress.
Built-in Admin Time:
Enjoy a schedule where administrative time is built-in weekly to specifically accommodate your IEP/ETR meetings and travel between buildings—we value your time outside of direct therapy.
Full Autonomy:
Experience full clinical autonomy in your role; as a W-2 employee, you have the independence to lead the therapeutic process while having our full support and advocacy behind you.
Meeting Leadership:
Schedule and lead ETR/IEP meetings for students categorized as Speech/Language Impaired, inviting parents, teachers, related services, and building representatives.
Team Collaboration:
Participate in Evaluation Team meetings, IEP meetings, and Transition meetings, providing expert information regarding eligibility, development of the IEP, and service delivery models.
Family Resource:
Act as a resource for families by identifying when additional outside supports (like medical or specialized services) may be beneficial for a child's overall development.
Compliance:
Maintain appropriate records by completing treatment notes and progress reports in a timely manner and according to school policy.
Professional Growth:
We encourage and support your participation in professional development and specialized workshops, ensuring you have the resources to practice at the top of your license and remain an expert in your field.
Billing:
Complete Medicaid billing requirements per district and state standards.
Qualifications Required:
Education:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Licensure:
Must hold or be eligible for licensure from the Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and the Ohio Department of Education (ODE).
Certification:
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply! (We provide the necessary supervision).
Skills:
Knowledge of completing documentation related to Special Education Services (IEPs, ETRs, Progress Reports, and Medicaid Billing).
Background:
Valid Driver's License and ability to successfully pass BCI/FBI background checks.
Preferred:
Experience:
Previous experience in a preschool or school-based setting is a plus!
Passion:
A genuine love for play-based therapy and helping early childhood students succeed.
