Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make an impact supporting young learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a welcoming school environment near Mount Vernon, OH. This is an exciting opportunity to provide essential services for K-5 students during the upcoming academic year, with a full-time, 35-hour schedule. You'll work with a manageable caseload of 53 elementary students, using your expertise to assess, diagnose, and help students overcome speech, language, and communication challenges. Collaboration with caring staff, teachers, and families is at the heart of this role, helping you create and implement effective, individualized therapy plans that transform outcomes for students.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current and active SLP license for Ohio Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required Prior experience working with school-aged children strongly preferred Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Comfortable collaborating with teachers, support staff, and parents Commitment to ethical service and student-centered care
Responsibilities Include:
Conducting speech, language, and communication assessments for K-5 students Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Providing direct therapy services based on each child's unique needs Tracking student progress and maintaining detailed, timely documentation Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with families and team members Educating staff and parents about strategies to support student development You'll have access to flexible interview scheduling and the support of a collaborative school community dedicated to student growth.
