Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A contract position is available in Ashland, OR for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) experienced in school settings. This role supports district-wide site-based programs focused on students with diverse communication needs across various grade levels, known as
MAPS PLUS.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in providing speech and language therapy to children within elementary, middle, and high school age ranges. This position involves collaboration with educators and support staff to deliver tailored interventions that promote effective communication and academic success.Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group speech-language therapy services in compliance with district and state guidelines. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs. Work closely with classroom teachers and multidisciplinary teams to integrate communication goals into academic instruction. Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports. Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities.Qualifications:
Valid SLP certification and licensure appropriate for school settings. Experience working with children in elementary through high school environments. Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment tools, and intervention strategies. Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff. Commitment to supporting students across a range of abilities and grade levels.Location:
