Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Experience a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting. This contract position is full-time for the upcoming academic year, and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference across various assignments within the region. As part of a team that serves students with diverse needs, you'll collaborate closely with other professionals to address the unique communication challenges faced by young learners.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Several years of relevant experience in schools or similar settings State of Oregon Speech-Language Pathology License or Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired/Communications Disorder Endorsement ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Familiarity with augmentative communication systems (both low and high tech) Experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred Valid Oregon Driver's License Strong interpersonal and written communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student and staff information Valid First Aid/CPR credentials may be required
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to students as assigned Assess, diagnose, and develop intervention plans for a broad range of communication needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including special education staff, psychologists, and behavior consultants Document services and track student progress according to regulatory and district standards Engage families and educators in supporting student development and advocacy Work on-site within district schools as determined prior to school year start This position offers multiple openings, so whether your expertise lies in traditional therapy, augmentative communication, or supporting students with complex needs, your skills and adaptability will be valued.
