Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic opportunity as a full-time Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026/2027 school year. This contract position focuses on delivering essential speech and language services to pre-K through high school students in a collaborative educational environment near Independence, OR. Bring your expertise and passion for pediatric communication needs and make measurable differences in students' lives.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) through ASHA State licensure—or eligibility for licensure—in Speech-Language Pathology Previous experience in pediatrics or school-based settings preferred Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy to a diverse student population Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and document progress according to school and federal guidelines Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and support staff for integrated therapy approaches Offer consultation and training to families and educational professionals as needed Maintain thorough and timely records to ensure compliance and track student improvements Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to building-wide initiatives that promote student success
