Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an engaging summer opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school environment. This contract-based role spans multiple sites, ensuring every day brings new experiences and meaningful connections. From July 1st to July 30th, you'll join a collaborative effort dedicated to enhancing communication skills for students during Extended School Year (ESY). Your mornings will be well-structured, working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 12:30 PM. The assignment covers several schools, including West Crawford Elementary, Dunbar Township Elementary, Springfield Elementary, and Connellsville Area High School. With a manageable caseload of 56 students across these sites, you will make a lasting impact while enjoying variety in your daily routine.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Valid and current Pennsylvania SLP Educator Certification Strong communication and collaboration skills Prior experience providing SLP services in school settings is preferred Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse student needs Commitment to traveling to multiple schools within the district each day
Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted speech-language therapy to students according to their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Conduct assessments and document progress throughout the ESY program Collaborate with other education professionals, parents, and caregivers to support student goals Engage in team meetings and contribute to a supportive, positive educational environment Maintain timely, accurate paperwork and reporting This position offers an enriching way to build connections in a school community while furthering your clinical expertise within a supportive, student-centered atmosphere.
