Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a contract position starting in early May through June 9, with an anticipated extension for Extended School Year (ESY) services. This role serves a K-12 caseload in a school-based setting located in Coatesville, PA. The position primarily supports center-based students, including those with aggressive behaviors and autism, with adequate support provided. The ideal candidate holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and has experience working as an SLP in school environments. This role requires dedication to providing individualized speech and language services within a supportive team setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy to students across kindergarten through 12th grade. Manage a caseload of students with diverse communication needs, including those with autism and behavioral challenges. Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to tailor interventions that meet student needs. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Current SLP certification/license suitable for school-based practice. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred. Proven experience working with children exhibiting aggressive behaviors and autism. Ability to handle a full K-12 caseload effectively. Strong communication and organizational skills. Commitment to a supportive and collaborative work environment.
