Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic outpatient pediatrics team as a Speech Language Pathologist, where you will play a vital role in enhancing communication skills and improving the quality of life for children. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with young patients, providing expert speech therapy services that foster early intervention and developmental progress. You will be an essential part of a collaborative healthcare environment dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care tailored to each child's unique needs. Duties Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language and communication abilities with patients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients needs and goals. Deliver engaging therapy sessions that incorporate evidence-based techniques to improve articulation, language comprehension, social communication, and swallowing functions. Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent support and effective intervention strategies. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy approaches as needed to maximize outcomes. Educate families on home exercises and strategies to reinforce therapy goals outside of clinical sessions. Maintain detailed documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with healthcare regulations. Requirements Master's degree and valid licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist from an accredited program. CFY's will be considered. Prior experience working with pediatric populations in outpatient settings or early intervention programs is highly preferred as well as feeding experience. Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, physiology, anatomy relevant to speech and swallowing functions, and medical terminology. Proven ability to perform thorough patient assessments and develop tailored treatment plans. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with children, families, and healthcare teams. Knowledge of pediatric development milestones and early intervention strategies. Ability to engage young patients through energetic and motivating therapy approaches while maintaining professionalism.
