Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational environment where your passion for helping children communicate can make a lasting impact. Two enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologists are needed to support K-8 students in a vibrant school setting with a manageable caseload of 35-40 children, all at one convenient location. This full-time contract opportunity (35 hours per week, 8:00am-3:30pm) offers a fulfilling, team-oriented role where you can collaborate with fellow professionals and watch your students thrive. Ideal candidates bring strong skills in pediatric speech-language assessment and intervention, as well as expertise working in healthcare and educational settings. Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is essential. Those at the beginning of their SLP journey (CFY candidates) are encouraged to apply and will be paired with a seasoned SLP holding their CCCs for mentorship and support.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current SLP license (or eligibility) in Pennsylvania. SLP-CCC or CFY status accepted (CFYs must work with an experienced mentor). Proven history (or strong clinical practicum) in pediatric speech and language disorders. Background in school-based SLP services highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to assess and treat a variety of communication challenges. AAC expertise required. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech, language, and communication therapy to K-8 students. Complete assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate documentation. Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff for optimal student outcomes. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning.
