About Us Mindful Communication Group (MCG) is a therapist-owned, multidisciplinary practice providing holistic, client-centered care to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our services include Early Intervention (ages 0-3), pediatric speech therapy, and outpatient mental health therapy services. We serve clients across home, daycare, clinic, and telehealth settings, allowing us to support the whole individual, not just one area of need. Our team prioritizes collaboration, flexibility, and meaningful outcomes for the families we serve. Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team, specializing in early intervention and outpatient speech therapy for children. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in pediatric populations, helping client's develop functional speech, language, and social skills. Your expertise will support children's growth from infancy through early childhood, making a meaningful impact on their developmental journey. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in both clinic settings and early intervention programs, fostering collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal outcomes. This is a flexible PRN opportunity ideal for clinicians seeking supplemental income, extra work, or a schedule that can adapt to their availability while maintaining autonomy over their caseload. Responsibilities Early Intervention (Home/Daycare): Conduct comprehensive developmental and communication assessments for children ages 0-3 Provide play-based, family-centered therapy in natural environments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IFSP goals Coach caregivers on strategies to support communication within daily routines Collaborate with service coordinators and interdisciplinary team members Track progress and modify interventions based on child outcomes Maintain timely documentation in EMR system Travel between client locations within assigned service area
Clinic-Based Services:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for pediatric patients, utilizing standardized tools and clinical observations. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs, focusing on speech production, language comprehension, social communication, and feeding/swallowing skills. Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and healthcare providers to ensure consistent support across all environments. Monitor progress regularly, adjusting therapy strategies as needed to maximize developmental gains. Document all assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately in compliance with organizational policies. Stay current with best practices in pediatrics, speech therapy techniques, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to pediatric care.Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active Virginia SLP license/CFs welcome CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain) Professional liability insurance Reliable transportation (required for EI services) Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule Strong interpersonal and communication skills Experience working with pediatric populations in school or clinical settings. Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques specific to early intervention programs.Skills:
Excellent client care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to children and their families. Ability to perform thorough patient assessments using standardized tools and clinical judgment. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to pediatric health conditions impacting communication. Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging families in therapy processes.Benefits / Perks
