Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Take your speech-language pathology expertise into an engaging educational environment working with diverse student populations in a contract role for the 2026-27 or 2027-28 school year (with an open end date). Here, you'll have the chance to collaborate within school teams, impact students' communication skills, and benefit from meaningful assignments across multiple elementary, intermediate, middle, and high school settings. You'll work a steady schedule—Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm—with approximately 35 students on your caseload primarily from K-6, while offering support to other age groups throughout several schools and out-of-district placements in York County. Leverage your clinical skills in assessments, therapy, IEP development, and progress monitoring, partnering with educational staff and families to maximize student success. Teletherapy is an option for one day each week for added flexibility.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP or CFY) Previous school-based SLP experience and eligibility to bill Medical Assistance Proficiency in pediatric, healthcare, and educational SLP best practices Strong communication, collaboration, and organization abilities Comfortable working on site, with one day per week remote (Zoom) Experience servicing K-12 populations, especially K-6 preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and provide direct/indirect speech and language services Develop and implement IEPs using the school's Sapphire IEP system Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families Serve students at multiple schools and community placements Maintain accurate and timely documentation Utilize district-provided technology for therapy and reporting In this role, you'll make a visible difference supporting children's growth and development, while enjoying access to district technology and a collaborative team environment.
