The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric patients and possess a strong understanding of feeding therapy techniques and interventions. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in children. The Speech Language Pathologist will collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support for each child's development. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs. Implement evidence-based speech therapy interventions to improve communication skills. Provide early intervention services to children with developmental delays. Collaborate with teachers and parents to support the child's progress in various settings. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes. Educate families on strategies to enhance communication skills at home. Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development. Experience Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred, particularly with pediatric populations and feeding disorders. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care practices related to speech therapy. Familiarity with early intervention strategies for children with speech and language disorders. Ability to perform patient assessments effectively and develop appropriate treatment plans based on findings. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
