Speech-Language Pathologist Summit Academy - 3.2 Worcester, MA Job Details Part-time $45 - $65 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications School experience Ongoing student assessment for IEP development Developmental screenings (student assessment methods) Communication with special education students Master's degree Speech-Language Pathology License Diagnosis of speech disorders in speech-language pathology Full Job Description Job Summary To assess students and provide therapeutic intervention to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments that interfere with their students' ability to derive full benefit from the educational program. Essential Duties
  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders; gathers background data, reviews referrals, selects and modifies evaluation tools, and evaluates patients determining the level of patient's physical and psychosocial functioning.
  • Plan and provide appropriate individual and group therapy to students consistent with speech and language goals contained in Individual Education Plans (IEP).
  • Prepare quarterly progress reports for IEP reporting.
  • Attend all IEP meetings for students receiving speech services.
  • Write updated goals for yearly IEP meeting for students receiving speech services
  • Compile extensive notes on students' progress and adjust therapies and treatment plans where necessary; maintain student records.
  • Conduct formals evaluations as requested by districts through evaluation consent forms.
  • Educate students, families and teachers about treatment methods and/or proper safe use and recommend methods for installation of adaptive equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents regarding the accomplishment of therapy goals and needs of the student.
  • Assist in the selection of equipment and instructional materials for therapy.
  • Work collaboratively with professionals from many other disciplines.
  • Provide consultative services.
  • Participate in meetings and training as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay:
$45.00 - $65.00 per hour
