Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist Salary Schedule:
SDPC Teacher Salary Schedule plus $5,000
Days/Hours:
190 Days/7.5 Hours per day
This pool is for anticipated positions for the 26-27 school year.
Position Requirements:
Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution in Speech Pathology
SC LLR Speech-Language Pathologist license
ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence
Valid SC Teacher Certification in Speech Language Pathologist
Purpose Statement:
The purpose of Speech-Language Pathologists in The School District of Pickens County is to screen, evaluate, diagnose speech and/or language impairments and provide therapy services to students identified under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to support their educational progress.
Responsibility and Authority
Will report to the Building Principal and Executive Director of Special Services
Essential Functions
Screens, evaluates, and diagnoses speech/language disorders and determines student eligibility for speech therapy services. Develops goals, objectives, methods, and materials to assist students in achieving their highest potential.
Provides speech/language services in full compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
Maintains student records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
Consults with principals, clinicians, teachers, parents, and other agencies as needed.
Strives to maintain and improve professional competency.
Attends school and district staff meetings.
Participates in professional staff development programs.
Performing other duties as assigned by the Building Principal and the Executive Director of Special Services
Minimum Education and Training
Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution in Speech Pathology
SC LLR Speech-Language Pathologist license
ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence or will provide supervision for Clinical Fellowship Year
Valid SC Teacher Certification in Speech Language Pathologis
Speech Language Pathologist will receive a $5,000 stipend.
