Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an impactful contract role supporting students' communication needs during a maternity leave. This assignment runs from October 1st through December 15th, 2026, and is conveniently based between two campuses less than three miles apart. The caseload includes primarily mild cases, with a handful of high school self-contained students. Ideal candidates bring experience working in school environments and a passion for pediatric speech-language therapy. This is an excellent opportunity for Speech-Language Pathologists who have earned their CCC or are eligible for their CFY, and are skilled at providing assessments and interventions for children from varying backgrounds.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current or eligible SLP license for South Carolina Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome Prior experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations Ability to manage a primarily mild caseload, plus a small number of high school self-contained students Strong collaboration and communication skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language services to students aged preschool through high school Complete assessments, develop IEPs, and monitor progress Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to maximize outcomes Provide targeted therapy that aligns with each student's goals and needs Prepare supporting documentation and maintain compliance with district and state guidelines Benefit from knowing you're filling a vital gap and supporting students' growth while working in a collaborative environment.
