Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students while advancing your Speech-Language Pathology career. This contract opportunity, located near Irmo, SC, runs from August 2026 through May 2027 and provides 37.5 hours per week supporting elementary and middle school students. You'll enjoy working with manageable caseloads, typically around 45 students, in a collaborative and welcoming school environment.
Desired qualifications and experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current SLP license (or eligible) for South Carolina Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants also considered Previous experience in school settings or pediatrics is advantageous Comfortable providing services to students from diverse backgrounds Strong communication and documentation skills Key responsibilities: Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings, evaluations, and assessments for elementary and middle school students Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Provide both direct and consultative therapy sessions, collaborating with teachers, families, and other clinicians Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, timely records Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and staff development as needed Help create engaging and supportive learning environments Benefits and perks: Gain valuable school-based pediatric experience Welcoming team with opportunities to collaborate and grow Consistent weekday hours with a positive work-life balance Comprehensive resources and support throughout your contract If you're committed to supporting student achievement and excited about working in a dynamic school community, this opportunity could be the perfect fit.
