Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC credentials, supporting students in an engaging educational environment near North Charleston, SC. Your expertise will help students enhance their communication skills, empowering them to thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state SLP license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Previous school-based experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical backgrounds are encouraged Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and caregivers
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and deliver individualized or group therapy for students with diverse speech and language needs Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams Maintain thorough and timely documentation related to student progress and compliance Engage with families and school staff to communicate progress and strategies for generalization Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determination, and staff consultations Provide consultative support and recommendations for classroom accommodations Foster a positive, encouraging environment to support students' confidence and success
