Job Overview:

Utilize current practices and methods of speech/language assessment and therapy for students ages 3-21 in the educational setting.

Job Functions:

Adhere to all Special Education federal and state rules and regulations pertaining to the referral, identification, and placement of students with communication disorders within the educational setting. Participate as a team member in comprehensive evaluations and reevaluations. Provide communication therapy in a variety of settings. Consult with parents, teachers, administrators, and others concerning the needs of students with communication disorders. Participate in the development and implementation of student IEPs. Perform other work-related duties as assigned. Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure. Adaptability to accepting responsibility for the direction, control, or planning of an activity. Adaptability to dealing with students. Adaptability to generalize, evaluations, or decisions based on sensory or judgmental criteria.
